Nordic walking was originally used by cross country skiers as a means of keeping fit throughout the summer months. Now it has become a popular way for people of all ages to gain fitness, tone up and lose weight. It is a great way to improve your health.

Nordic walking is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. You will be instructed on the right technique and will walk at a pace and level that is right for you.




The fundamental difference with Nordic Walking and ordinary trekking or ramblling is that the poles are planted behind you and as such help propel you along. This makes you feel lighter on your feet and you use 90% of the major muscles in your body ensuring you tone up your upper body as well and your legs and glutes.

By walking in this way you use burn extra calories and it takes pressure off your knees and ankles.

We will teach you how to use the poles properly and take you out on walks by mutual arrangement.
